William "Bill" Hugh Lansden (61), passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016 at his home in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Bill was born April, 11, 1955 in Madisonville, KY to Joseph William Lansden and Allyne Virginia Royster. He graduated from Earlington High School in Earlington, KY in 1973. On July 8, 1978, he married the love of his life Rhoella Louise Rogers in Madisonville, Ky.

Bill believed in the sovereign God and was saved by His grace. He enjoyed talking to others about the passions of his life including his family, friends, golf, basketball, music, politics, and the well-being of his community. He cared deeply for his family and friends with a loving cheerful energy which was positively infectious; spending time with them was of upmost importance. Bill never met a stranger, making life-long friends in his work as an insurance agent and wherever he was.

Bill is survived by his wife of 38 years, Rhoella Lansden, Amy Jo (daughter), her husband Josh Floyd, their son William David (Grandchild) , John Ross Lansden (son), his wife Diana, their daughter Elliana Jo (Grandchild) of Bowling Green, Ky. He also is survived by his sister Jo Ann Lansden, and her son Joseph Thomas Lansden (nephew) of Henderson, Ky. He is survived by his mother-in-law Ethel Louise Rogers, and so many loving sisters and brothers in law, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Bill was a loving father, husband, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, July 22, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Thursday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home and again from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
