Obituary

W. Paul Manning, Jr., 90, of Bowling Green passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky. The Warren County native was a son of the late Will Paul Manning, Sr. and Thelma Dobbs Manning. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert C. Manning and Kenneth Manning.

Mr. Manning was a 1951 graduate of Western Kentucky University holding a degree in Industrial Arts. He was a former Industrial Engineer at Kendall Company in Franklin, KY, a member of First Baptist Church and an Army Veteran. Mr. Manning was an avid quail hunter, gardener, furniture maker and crappie fisherman.

Survivors include his wife, Wenonah Manning; two sons, Mike Manning (Teena) and Steve Manning (Teryl) all of Bowling Green; one daughter, Barbie Thompson (Charlie) of Brentwood, TN; six grandchildren, Elizabeth Yancey (Scott), Jonathan Thompson, Mitch Manning, Taylor Manning, Morgan Manning and Katie Barnhouse (David); four great grandchildren, Nonie, Wylie, Moses and Wesly Yancey; one brother, James Manning (Gail) of Franklin, KY.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, November 12, 2018 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at First Baptist Church. Memorial Services will be at 3:00 pm Monday at First Baptist Church. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice of Southern Kentucky or First Baptist Church. Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
