Von Ward, 81, of Scottsville, passed away at her residence on Saturday, August 24, 2024. The Marmaduke, AR native was a daughter of the late Henderson Thompson and Mildred Winfrey Thompson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Mark, Scott and Greg; a brother; and a sister.

Mrs. Ward was a member and co-owner of the Scottsville Community Church and was also her husband, Paul's, assistant in the Church Bus Ministry. She was very proud to have received her high school diploma after the age of 50 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 31 at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home with burial to follow at Otter Gap Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Ward; a daughter, Paula Jean Bachman; a brother, Freddie Eugene Thompson; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
