Virginia Patterson, 76, of Bowling Green, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018 at The Medical Center.  The Franklin native was a daughter of the late Eugene and Helen Hire Knight.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald "Butch" Knight.

Mrs. Patterson was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.  She was a graduate of Bowling Green Business College and an assistant vice-president at Bowling Green Bank & Trust.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Patterson; three sons, Craig Patterson (Cecelia), Chris Patterson (Dana), and Corey Patterson (Chasity) of Burkesville; a sister, Evelyn Ford of Mt. Juliet, TN; six grandchildren, Alex, Cierra, Benjamin, Chase, Cameron and Caitlyn Patterson; a step-grandson, David Fiscus; and four step-great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Mikeala, Joey and Lexi Fiscus.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 24 at 2:00 pm at Faith United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, September 23 at Faith United Methodist Church and again on Monday, September 24 from 11:00 am until time of service at the church.  Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
