Major Thurston Lawson Hurt, USAF, Retired, 86, of Bowling Green, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Auburn Healthcare.  The Montgomery County, KY native was a son of the late Thurston and Shirley Lawson Hurt.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Armstrong Hurt; a brother, Robert Hurt; and a niece, Jody Werner.

Mr. Hurt was a pilot in the United States Air Force and a graduate of the University of Kentucky.

He is survived by two sisters, Barbara Whites and Joanne Werner; two nephews, Timothy Garland Whites and Pierce Butler Whites; and a niece, Anne Lawson Whites Heintzman.

Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
