Thomas Edward Lewis, Sr., 82, of Bowling Green passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at The Medical Center of Bowling Green. The Moultrie, GA native was the son of the late Clifford Leota Lynch Lewis and Edward Hugh Lewis. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son-in-law, Michael Madison.

Mr. Lewis was of the Methodist faith and an Industrial Engineer for General Motors.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Eaton Lewis; daughter, Laura Madison; son, Thomas "Tommy" Edward Lewis, Jr. (Christy); sister, Leota Cooper (Wayne); four grandchildren, MadaLynne Hanna (Mark), Thomas Edward Lewis, III (Raven), Georgia Egner (Erik), and Anna Durkin (Matt); five great-grandchildren, Elijah Edward Lewis, Stella Mae Lewis, Vivienne Blake Lewis, Theodore Michael Egner, and Colt Hanna.

Memorial services will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 8 at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at Westview Cemetery on a later date in Moultrie, GA.
