Thixton Horn, 83, of Bowling Green died Thursday, June 30, 2016 at his residence. The Irvine, Kentucky native was a son of the late Herman and Eula Begley Horn and was the husband of the late Mary Lee Horn.

Mr. Horn was a former State Trooper with the Kentucky State Police and served as a Bailiff for the Warren County Court System. He was a driver for Martin Auto Group, an Army veteran and a member of the Beattyville Christian Church.


Survivors include his daughter, Cindy Horn of Louisville, Kentucky; son, Freddy Horn of Bowling Green; sister, Carolyn Bridges (Bobby) of Winchester, Kentucky.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm cdt, Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home with burial in the Brock A. Berry Veterans Cemetery located at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am cdt to 2:00 pm cdt Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Trooper Island or Hospice of Southern Kentucky.
