Theresa C. (Terry) Barnes, 84, b. 4-17-1933, d. 2-19-2018

Terry Barnes, 84, passed away Monday, February 19, at Magnolia Village nursing home. Terry was born in Prince Edward Island, Canada to the late Wilfred and Mary Theresa Pineault.
Terry was a faithful Catholic and attended Holy Spirit Catholic Church as long as she was able. She embraced all Christians and her faith was very important in her life. For over thirty years, she was an active Friend of Bill's, and was instrumental in leading many on the path to sobriety. Terry was a 19 year cancer survivor.

Terry retired after many years of working and making friends in the Kroger deli.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dick Barnes, and a brother Joe Pineault. She is survived by her children; daughter Kimberly Barnes, of Port Saint Lucie, FL; son and daughter-in-law Rick and Faye Barnes of Greeneville, TN; son and daughter-in-law Mike and Edna Barnes of Owensboro, KY; and son Ron Surface of Bowling Green. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Katie and Jonathan Barnes of Owensboro; Sisters Bernadette Salvato, Carol Hobaugh, and Sue Pineau-Chaisson and their spouses; and brother Stephen and spouse.
She is also survived by her very special niece Karen Garrity and husband, Tim, who oversaw her care for the last several years of her life.

Visitation will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Friday 23rd 6 – 8 pm with a prayer service and memory sharing starting at 7pm. Visitation again on Saturday 24th 9:30 – 11 with the funeral at 11 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Additional visitation and sharing of memories will be available after the funeral during the funeral meal at Holy Spirit for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
