Stephen Gerald Sledge, age 64, of Irving, TX passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017.
Stephen was born in 1952 in Bowling Green, KY, to Wickliffe Miles Sledge & Laurita Willoughby Sledge, who survive.

He was a graduate of Warren Central High School. He served his country in the United States Air Force and was stationed in England and Thailand, as well as various bases in the United States. After his service in the military, he was a tax preparer at Reddy Ice.

In addition to his parents he is survived by sisters, Elaine Sledge & Mila Sledge of Bowling Green, KY; brother Timothy Sledge (Jill) of Hampton, VA; nephews Miles Sledge (Sarah) of Chesapeake, VA and Alex Sledge of Hampton, VA; niece Erica Sledge of Hampton, VA; great-niece Elizabeth Sledge of Chesapeake; Aunt Chloenita Simpson (Norval) of Alvaton, KY; Special Cousins Sheila Simpson Voelker (Brian) of Vine Grove, KY and Nelson Trent Simpson (Jamie) of Nashville, TN; close friends, Sharon and Gary Milligan of Kansas City, KS; special friend Janice Burgess of Irving, TX.

A service will be held in Irving, TX on Wednesday, April 5.

Services in Bowling Green will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Bays Fork Baptist Church with burial at Bays Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm Saturday at Bays Fork Baptist Church. Services are under the direction of Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home.
