Sheila "Kaye" Meeks, 65, of Bowling Green, passed away on March 13, 2026 at her residence.

Kaye was a basketball super fan, especially for the Kentucky Wildcats. Kaye knew all about college basketball stats, players and coaches. She also enjoyed being outside, riding her bike and loved all cats.

Kaye was preceded in death by her father, Charles Edward Meeks and uncle, John O'Neal Parker, is survived by her mother, Jonell Meeks who has faithfully been by her side for the past 65 years; sister, Sharon Stubblefield (Alan); niece, Amy Grinstead (Keith); nephew, Brent Stubblefield (Mary); three great nephews, Blake Stubblefield, Ryan Stubblefield and James Stubblefield; aunts Brenda Parker and Ivory Meeks; and several cousins.

Kaye's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to some very special caregivers: Logan Potter and Susan Simpson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, March 16 at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home with burial to follow at Bethel Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, March 15 and again from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, March 16 at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Bethel Methodist Cemetery.
