Obituary

Ruth Ann Martin, 66, of Bowling Green, was called to her eternal home on January 1, 2025.

Ruthie's life was guided by her faith, her love for animals—especially cats—and her ability to brighten any room with her laughter. She was a proud member of the Salvation Army Church and enjoyed being part of the Ladies Home League. Ruthie also loved studying the Bible, cruising town with Donald, playing Bingo, scrapbooking, and learning something new every day. Her laughter was truly contagious, and she will be remembered for her kind heart and playful spirit.

She is reunited with her husband, Donald Martin, momma, Margaret Sturgill, and her father, Charles Sturgill, in heavenly peace. Ruthie is survived by her siblings: Clifton Jr. "Big Boy" Renick (Charlene Renick), William Cardell "Little Man" Renick (Missy Renick), and Sarah "Baby" Renick (Kay Faesel). She is also lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews: Ben Richardson, Summer Renick, Tiffany Renick, Kayla Faesel, Michelle Cox, Christopher Wheat, Elizabeth Wheat, along with her loyal "furry son," Blue Martin.

Her family and friends will cherish Ruthie's genuine love, humor, and zest for life in an intimate gathering on January 18, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to local animal shelters are encouraged—she would have loved that.

Rest easy, Ruthie. We will carry your laughter and love in our hearts forever.
