Ruth Evelyn Jost, 89, of Bowling Green, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Hopkins Center in Woodburn. The Plano native was the daughter of Eloda Yadon Sims and Jessie Sims. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Warren Darrell Jost; eight brothers, Herman Sims, Roy Sims, Guy Sims, Owen Sims, Odis Sims, Carlie Sims, James Sims and Robert Sims and two sisters, Jessie Mae Davis and Ethel Marie Hedges.

Mrs. Jost was a homemaker and a member of Plano Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Kentucky Colonels and a notary public.

She is survived by two daughters, Joni Gail Gullett and Susan Marlene Jost; three grandchildren, Austin Gullett, Jen Hood, and Amy Hood; a sister, Josi Barrick and several nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home with burial to follow at Plano Cemetery. Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
