Ruth Elrod, 91, passed away Monday, December 10, 2018 at Signature Healthcare of Bowling Green. The Warren County native was the daughter of the late Euly H. and Dessie Elrod. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by eight siblings, Thelma Allen, Rhunell Williams, Beatrice Gangloff, Lula Mae Elrod, Geneva Watts, Eugene "Buddy" Elrod, Betty Sue Elrod, and Charles Robert Elrod.

She was a graduate of Bowling Green Business College and a member of St James United Methodist Church. Ms. Elrod Retired from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio where she worked from 1948 to 1982. She dearly loved her nieces and nephews.

Her survivors include several nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-laws, Barbara and Mary Jo Elrod; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Watts.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home with burial at Bethel Cemetery to follow. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, December 12, 2018 and again on Thursday from 12:00 pm until service time at the funeral home.
