Obituary

Ronnie G. Pinson, 72, of Smiths Grove (Bon Ayr) passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022 at TJ Samson Community Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. The Gatesville, TX native was born on May 18, 1949 to the late Robert and Betty Joyce Sanders Pinson. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of nearly 20 years, Phyllis Pinson and a grandson, Brad Griffith.

Ronnie spent his days as a truck driver. He loved to dance, was an avid fisherman, and made a great brisket. His signature look was his long hair, mustache, and cowboy hat. His favorite holiday was July 4 th and he would always go all-out on fireworks, much to the family's delight, young and old. Ronnie was also a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church in Smiths Grove, KY.

He is survived by his four children, Tommy Grace (Kyanna), Bill Griffith (Brandy), Penny Witcher (Michael), and Nick Kitchens (Rebecca); six grandchildren, Makayla Grace, Alexander Grace, Ariel Parker (Micah), Bailey Griffith, Shannan Brown (Ben), and Bethany Witcher (Mercedes); eight great-grandchildren, Connor, Lily, Liam, Erin, Mannie, Hayden, Owen, and Harper Noelle; three siblings, Robert Eugene Pinson, Tina Kelley (Dale), and Joanna Wilson (Len); a close friend, Edgar Witcher (Nancy); and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at 1pm at Bowling Green Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home.
