Richard "Dick" Paul Havens, 91, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025, at the The Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. The Olean, New York native was the son of the late Rensselaer Curtiss Havens and Alice Roberts Havens.

Dick was a man of faith & member of United Methodist Church of Eddyville, KY. He taught Sunday School and was in the choir. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War where he was stationed in Hawaii and was a radio operator on airplanes flying all over the world. He was very active in the Lyon County Kentucky VFW and its oldest veteran member.

Dick was a retired salesman and a well-respected businessman. He was a family man, so family always came first.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rensselaer Curtiss Havens and Alice Roberts Havens. A sister, Nancy Havens and a brother, Rensselaer Curtiss Havens, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Tyner Havens. Three sons, Richard Todd Havens (Royce), Gregory Paul Havens (Suzanne) and Christopher Corey Havens (Lea). A brother, Ross Havens (Nancy). Six grandchildren, Christen Havens Ferguson, Christopher Havens (Madeline), Paul Havens (Steph), Harvill Havens, Georgia Elder (Hayden), Madison Havens and Chad Ferguson. Two great-grandchildren, Reese Ferguson and Jaxson Ferguson.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, July 27 at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home in Bowling Green, KY. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, July 27 at the funeral home.
