Richard Lee Bailey, 62, of Bowling Green passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016 at his residence. The Akron, Ohio native was the son of the late Edward Martin Bailey and Allie Mae Ross Bailey.

Mr. Bailey served in The United States Marine Corp and served two tours in Vietnam. He was a truck driver. He was a of member of Broadway United Methodist Church where he belonged to the Young Enough to Serve Group. Mr. Bailey was also a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy A. Chaplin Bailey; four daughters, Gwenith Moberly, Cherene Boles, Cody Mathis and Lorrene Bailey; three sisters, Allie Bailey, Cassie Bailey, Sue Moore; five brothers, David Bailey, Raymond Dale Bailey, Rusty Bailey, John Bailey, Eddie Bailey; five grandchildren, Daisy, Parker, Tommi, Cian, and Colin.

A celebration of Mr. Bailey's life will be at 2:00 pm, Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Broadway United Methodist Church. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to The Disabled American Veterans Fund.
