Rex Eugene Stringfield, 83, of Bowling Green died Sunday, December 17, 2017 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.
The Richardsville, KY native was a son of the late Ned and Ruby Bell Cherry Stringfield and was preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Cardwell and Gracie Miller, two brothers, Keith Stringfield and David Stringfield.

Mr. Stringfield was a graduate of Richardsville High School, a former employee of Eaton-Cutler Hammer and a farmer. He was a Sgt. in the Marine Corps for 15 years and served in Korea and Viet Nam. He was a member of the VFW and Cherry's Chapel United Methodist Church.

He is survived by a son, Stephan R. Stringfield and his mother, Wilma; one sister, Fredene Smith; one brother, Barry Stringfield (Carolyn) and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be on Wednesday, December 20 at 11:00 am at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home with burial in the Cherry's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home.
