Paul Sanborn, 63, of Bowling Green, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The Lorain, Ohio native was the son of the late Kenneth Sanborn and Edwina Appleman Sanborn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Margaret Sanborn; his father-in-law, William J. DeSpain; and a brother-in-law, Jared DeSpain.

Mr. Sanborn was a member of Covenant Ministries Baptist Church and worked as a forklift operator at Magna. He enjoyed working on cars and spending time with family and friends. He loved attending NASCAR and drag races at Beach Bend.

A memorial service will not be held, honoring Mr. Sanborn’s request.

Paul is survived by his wife, Melinda DeSpain Sanborn; a daughter, Abigayl May Sanborn; two brothers, Scott Sanborn and John Sanborn; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Patrick (Tammy) DeSpain; mother-in-law, Gayl DeSpain; best friend, Tim (Shawn) Ogelvie; several nephews, great-nephews, and great-nieces.
