Pat Manning, 89, of Bowling Green, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Hospice House. The Stewartstown, Pennsylvania native was a daughter of the late Raymond and Dorothy Hild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bid" Manning; and a sister, Kathryn Grove Hild.
Pat was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church where she was the organist for 45 years and led many bible studies. She was a graduate of College High and Western Kentucky University; earning her Rank I certification in elementary education. Mrs. Manning taught school for over 30 years at Dishman McGinnis and Potter Gray Elementary Schools and was named Kentucky Teacher of the Year. She was a docent at Riverview at Hobson Grove and a member of the Pierian Club. Pat loved to travel and went on numerous mission trips. Spending time with family and friends was always a priority and brought her much joy.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 25 at Eastwood Baptist Church with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 24 and again from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 25 at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home.
Pat is survived by two daughters, Kimberly M. Stofer (Benny) and Robin M. Prybil (David); a sister, Dottie Hild Geoghegan (Bill); four grandchildren, Rebecca Major (Ryan), Bennett Stofer (Amanda), Jack and Ava Moran and Jackson and Ryan Prybil; and five great-grandchildren, Henry Major, Katherine Stofer, Samantha Stofer, Hudson Major, Benjamin Stofer and several nieces and nephews.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Robert C. "Bid" Manning Scholarship Fund at The College Heights Foundation and to Eastwood Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
