Opal "Pete" Riber Proctor, 91, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky.  She was born on October 23, 1926 in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Goldie Riber; her husband, Robert L. Proctor; and her son, Kevin Proctor.

Opal was a certified Red Cross swimming instructor, Physical Education teacher, health and fitness enthusiast, and avid tennis player. She was also active with Parks & Recreation teaching Health & Fitness.

She is survived by granddaughter, Jessica Proctor and grandsons, Chase and McKenzie Proctor.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 – 11:00 AM on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society in Opal's memory.
