Oleda Norma Lawrence Conner, 94, of Alvaton passed away Friday, July 6, 2018 at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. Born on January 19, 1924 at Coles Bend, Barren County. She was the youngest child of the late Rupert P. and Omega Claypool Lawrence.

Mrs. Conner was a member of the Bays Fork Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She retired as cafeteria manager, serving at both Alvaton School and Cumberland Trace Elementary.

In addition to her parents Oleda was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Jesse Holland Conner, as well as four brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include two daughters; Susan Benefield and Patsy Morgan, both of Bowling Green; five grandchildren, Darla Ottman (Swain), Anna Garrison (Todd), Sara Morgan, Emily Benefield and John Benefield (Courtney); seven great grandchildren, Jessica Garrison, Morgan Ottman, Holly, Jackson, Greer, John Paul, Grayson Benefield; three nieces, Carol Harrison, Dean Jones, Wanda Parsons; three nephews, Donald Lawrence, Jerry Beckham and Doug Brunson.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 11, 2018 11:00 a.m. at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home with burial at Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 10, 2018 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home with additional visitation Wednesday 9:00 a.m. to service time.
