Obituary

Myrtle Wilson, 92, died Wednesday, October 25, 2016 at Hospice House. The Simpson County native was born March 29, 1925 to the late Burford C, and Millie Barber Shrum. She is preceded in death by her husband, Garland B. Wilson; one son, Larry Wilson; six sisters and one brother.

Mrs. Wilson was an employee of Hinton's Dry Cleaners and was a charter member of Delafield Church of Christ.

Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Minton (Raymond) and Cheryl Langston (Gene); four grandchildren, Keary Simpson (Loretta), Tina Burkins (Lewis), Channon Constance and Christopher Langston; six great grandchildren Lyndsey Lowe (Daniel), Emily Simpson, Traver Butts, Brettni Butts, Cole Constance and Lily Constance; six great-great grandchildren, Ellie Lowe, Jordan Butts, Kobe Butts, La La Collins, Dayden Collins, Aniah Langston; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00pm, Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Friday, October 27, 2017 and again from 10:00 am to service time on Saturday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Delafield Church of Christ or Hospice House of Southern Kentucky.
