Mildred Marie Tinsley Grinstead, 92 of Brownsville, KY passed away peacefully, while surrounded by her family on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green.

She was a daughter of the late Youree and Bertha Trowbridge Tinsley and was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Otis Eugene Grinstead who passed away in 2017.

Mildred never met a stranger and was a friend to many. Her favorite pastime was coloring and crocheting. To know Mildred was to love her. She was a wonderful homemaker and cherished her time caring for children in her own home. She was a dedicated and long-standing member of Martinsville Baptist Church.

She is survived by her four daughters, Wanda Olson (Rod), Maretta Vincent (Noah), Judy Pilkenton (Tommy) and Lisa Liggett (Bechara Azzi); nine grandchildren, Brandon Carroll, Shannon White (Dave), Jason Wilson (Michele), Ashley Kinser, Scott Pilkenton (Lisa), Tonya McWilliams (Andrew), Krystal Garner (Jay), Katelyn Franklyn (Chris) and Trevor Liggett; fourteen great grandchildren, Brianna, Lindsey, Andrew, Emily, Chance, Annie, Emily, Kaden, Memphis, Lanie, Ty, Kali, Brayden and Mack; four great-great grandchildren, Carter, Colby, Hudson and Bennett.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Hosparus for their loving care and attention. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hosparus.

Funeral Services will be at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. Services will be officiated by Bro. Jimmy Carroll, who remains a cherished member of the family. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, September 29, at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home. Additional visitation will be on Tuesday, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at  the funeral home.
