She was a beautician for 53 years, where she made many close friends and acquaintances. She was an active member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church where she served as Treasurer.

She loved music and was active in her favorite pastime by being part of the Singing Seniors. She enjoyed life and loved her friends and family equally.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Myrl Cohron; father, Harvie D. Bumpus; mother, Eula Bumpus; sister, Evelyn Graham; brother, Morris Bumpus; and three nephews, Lloyd Graham and Mitchell and Bobby Bumpus.

Survivors include her son, Terry Cohron and his wife, Tami; a granddaughter, Laura Ashley Cohron; three great grandchildren, Reece Claire, Ryder Christian and Azra Melrose; niece, Faye Woods and nephew, Douglas Graham.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 pm Saturday, at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home. All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
