Mary Sue English, 87, of Bowling Green, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 3, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky with her son by her side. The Monticello, KY  native was the daughter of  the late Otto Upchurch and Marie Alexander Upchurch. In addition to her parents, Mrs. English was preceded in death by her husband, Joe English; a daughter, Karen English Wilkins, sister, Barbara Vitatoe (Charlie) and brother-in-law, Kenneth Conn.

Mrs. English worked in finance at Fruit of the Loom Corporate Office. She was a faithful Christian of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed spending time with her family and Kona her beloved dog.

Sue is survived by one, son, Jeff W. English (Whitney); grandchildren, Mac English and Scout English; sister Glenda Conn, son-in-law, David Wilkins and sister-in-law, Rhonda Scantland (Larry); several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service will be scheduled at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9  at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. until service time. Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 8, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers family requested donations may be made to the BGWC Humane Society,  St. Jude Children's Hospital or Hospice of Southern Kentucky.
