Mary-Clo Owen, 85, of Bowling Green passed away Friday, October 12, 2018 at The Medical Center. She was born on January 28, 1933.  She was the daughter of the late George Frances and Helen Owen Doughty.  She was also preceded in death by her husband Murray Owen and son-in-law Mark Greene.

She obtained a bachelors degree from Smith College and a masters degree in Special Education from Northeastern University.  Mrs. Owen was a retired child advocate for the State of Massachusetts. She volunteered at the Navy Marine Relief Society in Groton, CT and was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Mary-Clo is survived by her son, Peter Hutchinson (Megan), one daughter; Deirdre Greene, four grandchildren; Jennifer Edwards (Matt), Christopher Whitehurst (Daughtry), Alex and Colin Hutchinson and three great grandchildren; Kash and Ella Whitehurst and Cadence Edwards.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
