Martha J. Love, 95, of Bowling Green passed away peacefully, Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Colonial Center. The Horse Cave, Kentucky native was a daughter of the late Eugene Wade and Willie Jo Farris Veluzat. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Jefferson Love, Sr.; her son, Frank Love (Phyllis); her brother, Joe Richard Veluzat; grandsons, Robbie Love and Josh Love; brother-in-law, Robert Goodrum and sister-in-law, Betty Jo Veluzat.
Mrs. Love retired as a production assistant at Holley Carburetor and served many years as the "Snack Lady" at Bowling Green Jr. High School. She was a member of Bowling Green Christian Church. She loved spending her time outdoors, gardening, and being with her family. Her grandchildren were her world.
Survivors include her two sons, James Jefferson Love, Jr. and Timothy Wayne Love (Michelle); one daughter, Jeanne Love Davis; one sister, Beverly Goodrum; ten grandchildren, Tasha Martin (Brent), Jeffrey Love, Brittanie Breidenbach (Jeff), Christopher Davis (Sarah), Julia Davis Voelker (Peter), Matthew Love, Christina Shaw (John), Laura Gibson (Jacob), Tyler Love (Katelyn) and MiKayla Love; many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Service is scheduled for 12:00 pm, Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, March 20, 2024 and again from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Thursday at the Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home.
