Margie Gibson, 85, of Bowling Green died Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Christian Health Care Center in Bowling Green.
She was a daughter of the late Wallace and Alma Greathouse Manning and was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Gibson; two daughters, Marsha Stewart and Kimberly Haynes.
Mrs. Gibson was retired from General Motors and was a member of Burton Memorial Baptist Church and attended Bethany Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with the family and watching UK basketball.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Arterburn (Michael) and Lisa Edwards (Bobby); one son, Kevin Gibson (Kim); a son-in-law, Patrick Haynes; six grandchildren, Heather Plowman, Bradley Arterburn, Nick Stewart, Molly Druen, Lane and Cole Gibson; seven great grandchildren, Fisher and Willow Stewart, Smith, Marie, Evelyn Arterburn, Nora and Abram Druen; one step-grandchild, Patrick Haynes, Jr.; one step-great grandchild, Gabrieal Haynes; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their love and gratitude to the Christian Healthcare staff that has become like family to them.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, December 22, 2017 and from 9:00 am to 11:00 am Saturday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home.
