Obituary

Margaret Ann (Price) Stahl, 89, of Rockfield, Kentucky, died February 12, 2019, at Greenwood Nursing and Rehab Center in Bowling Green, where she had been compassionately cared for since May 2015.

A Warren County native, Margaret was born May 2, 1929, to Virgil C. and Mollie G. (Sledge) Price in Rockfield.   She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Morton F. Stahl, her parents and 8 of her siblings, Pearl Estes, Nellie Vance, Sarah Russ, Ruth Wheeler, William Virgil (Buddy) Price, May Jones, Louise Beals, and Mable Morehead.

Margaret is survived by son Briggs Price Stahl and daughter-in-law Karla, of Odessa, Florida; son Dr. Barry Wilson Stahl of Rockfield, Kentucky and his former wife, Wendy Sams Stahl ; her grandchildren, Megan Hyatt Stahl, Marissa Cherry Stahl, Brenton Wilson Stahl and Colby Ragan Stahl; her brother and sister-in-law Jimmie and Dixie Price of Rockfield; her sister and brother-in-law Sylvia and Julian Easton of Oakland, Kentucky; her brothers-in-law Dr. Aaron Beals of Paducah, Roy Morehead of Smith's Grove and John Wheeler of Bowling Green; sister-in-law Jonell Cherry Stahl Price and husband John L. Price of Franklin, and many nieces, nephews and their families.  Her sons and their families are especially grateful to Margaret's niece, and their cousin, Barbara Vance, who visited Margaret regularly during her residence at Greenwood Nursing.

Margaret was a graduate of the South Warren High School class of 1948, where she was a classmate of her future husband, Morton.  Following high school, Margaret worked at the Union Underwear factory in Bowling Green until her marriage in March of 1957.  Following her marriage, she devoted her life to her husband, sons, church, and extended family.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 17 from 2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. and on Monday 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

The family welcomes flowers or a donation to the Clear Fork Baptist Church Building Fund or Hope Center for Pregnancy in her memory.
