Lois Willis, 107, of Bowling Green, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026 at the Hopkins Center in Woodburn.
Lois was born December 7, 1918 in Chalybeate Springs, KY, a daughter of the late A.D. Kinser and Mary Alice Johnson Kinser. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Willis; brothers, Christopher, John, Carl, Conrad, Henry, Paul and Howard; sisters, Myrtle, Blanche, Gertie, Grace, Leda, Mildred and Willie; a daughter-in-law, Peggy Willis and several nieces and nephews.
Lois was a faithful member of Broadway United Methodist Church for 75 years. She retired in 1985 from Holley Carburetor where she worked as a production assistant. She loved cooking and caring for her family.
Survivors include her two sons, Dannie Willis (Marsha) and Michael Willis; grandson, Samuel Willis (Susan); two great grandsons, Eli (Kyrsten) and Corbin Willis; A number of nieces and nephews also survive, including Sue Sanders, Jon Denham, Mary Alice Vincent (Johnny Pete), Darrell (Marcia) and Donald (Joanne) Cassady, Liz Storey (Richard), Glenna Webb (Johnny), Margaret Ann Willis Ritchie, Donald Willis, Ronald Hanson (Linda).
While all of her nieces and nephews have been loving and supporting, two nieces and their spouses have looked after her and cared for her and made her life richer as if she were their second mother, Liz and Richard Storey and Glenna and Johnny Webb.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 27, 2026 at Broadway United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2026 and again from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Friday at Broadway United Methodist Church.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Broadway United Methodist Church, 1323 Melrose Street, Bowling Green, Kentucky 42104.
Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
