Lois Wilkins, 88, passed away February 18 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky. She was a loyal and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.

Lois was born on May 19, 1936, in Platteville, Wisconsin to Dewey and Mabel White. She is survived by her husband, Curtis; three children, Debra Stark (Brian), Martin Wilkins (Sharon), Randall Wilkins (Diane); and four grandchildren, Bryan Wilkins (Jayme), Elizabeth Bachner (Gavin), Alexander Stark and Corinne Stark.

Lois was an accountant at Fruit of the Loom Headquarters in Bowling Green, Kentucky for twenty-six years.

Lois loved the annual five-day family reunion. It was a chance to meet with family members living in Arizona, Oregon, Wisconsin, Georgia, and Kentucky. Wishing that the reunion could be longer, Lois loved being with her family and hearing about how her children and grandchildren were doing. Each reunion was at an interesting site, such as Yellowstone Park, Nashville, Boston, North Carolina's Outer Banks, Gatlinburg, and the Smoky Mountains. And with five great cooks in the family, every meal was a delicious adventure.

Besides enjoying her time with family, Lois really enjoyed dining and visiting with friends and neighbors. Before her career as an accountant, she was active in the Western Kentucky University (WKU) community. Beginning with their arrival at WKU in 1965, Lois and Curtis became devoted fans, for sixty years, of the university's sports, especially basketball, football, and volleyball. They also enjoyed the many theatrical and musical productions at the university.

The love and companionship that Lois and Curtis had for each other during their seventy-one-years of marriage was a wonderful blessing.

Lois will be interred at Western Kentucky University's Chandler Memorial Chapel.

A private funeral service for Lois will be held at a later date.
