Kevin Bailey, 64, of Bowling Green, passed away at his residence. The late Mildenhall, England native was the son of the late Hobart Bailey and Edith Martin Bailey. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Edith Maureen Bailey, and niece, Jennifer Morgan.

Born in Mildenhall, England to Air Force parents in 1957. Kevin began studying piano at the age of six and the organ at thirteen. He was a graduate of Bowling Green High School class of 1975. His love for music lead him to serve as organist for many local churches. Kerr Memorial United Methodist Church as organist and choir director for ten years; where he, instituted an organ concert and played a program every year. Both Holy Trinity Lutheran Church for ten years, and   Broadway United Methodist Church for over fifteen years; where he also, purchased hand bells and directed the bell choir. St. Joseph Catholic Church for ten years and where he is still a member. He participated in the Lenten Concert Series at Christ Episcopal Church for over ten years.

Mr. Bailey was responsible for the installation of new organs at all of those churches and played the dedicatory concerts. Kevin was a member of the Nashville chapter of the American Guild of Organist where he played several programs for this distinguished group of church musicians. An avid organ enthusiast, he traveled the country to see and play various organs in many churches and concert halls. Though Kevin had no formal training in music, he was well respected by all who knew him for his dedication to church and concert music.

He is survived by two sisters, Karen Elise Bailey Morgan and Kathy Bailey Reynolds; nieces and nephews, Michael, Christopher, David, Mary and Brian.

Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 17 with visitation from 9:00 A.M. until service time at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial at Fairview Cemetery. Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
