Kathy (Rose) Sensel, 70, of Bowling Green, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky.

The Brookline, MA native was a daughter of the late Ralph Earl Nelson, Jr. and Marie Louise Cormier Nelson. She was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel John Nelson.

Mrs. Sensel was a teacher. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Western Kentucky University, Summa Cumm Laude. She was a member of Forest Park Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph William Sensel, Jr.; two daughters, Maria Rose and Elizabeth Webster (Adam); two stepsons, Geoffrey Sensel (Meggen) and Steve Sensel (Robin); one brother, Thomas Nelson; one sister, Cindy Rose (Scott); two grandchildren, Carly and Kennedy Webster; six step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home. A Private Celebration of Life will be held in Pine Knob, Kentucky at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky.
