KATHLEEN (Tommy) GIORGIO, 90, passed away peacefully at her home, Friday, July 29, 2016, surrounded by family, her caretakers, and loved ones. Kathleen (Mammaw Tommy) loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with extreme enthusiasm, bringing all of them great joy. She was a gifted harmony singer, worked hard and devoted to raising her children with everything they needed, along with an abundance of love. Kathleen possessed a great sense of humor. She was a zealous dancer and loved to play cards with friends. She was exceptionally proud of her great-grandchildren.

Kathleen worked at the James B. Beam Distilling Company in Clermont, Kentucky for over 30 years and retired from there.

She was the wife of her beloved husband, Vincent Giorgio (deceased), who were married on July 27, 1946.

Kathleen was the daughter of Roy and Irene Brashear (deceased) and born in Lebanon Junction, KY. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Brashear, and Beverly Brashear, and two sisters, Elsie Hawkins and Helen Hall, one son, Frank Anthony Giorgio, and one great-grandson, Logan Thomas Byard.

She is survived by one brother, William (Bill) Brashear, Clermont, KY, her three children, Mike Giorgio (Sherry), of Bowling Green, Scrilda Giorgio Dotson of Morgantown, and Roy Giorgio (Karen) of Hendersonville, TN; grandchildren Stephen Giorgio, Earon Giorgio, Patricia Tibbs (Brandon), Kelli Giorgio, Kyla Byard (Brandon), Jonathan Giorgio (Tylor), Christopher Dotson, Andrew Dotson (Julia), Eric Dotson (Cassie), Anthony Dotson, Sara Hennion (Alex), Gregory Dotson, Matthew Giorgio, and step-grandaughters Jennifer Shurtcliff and Grace Dotson; great-grandchildren Paige and Evan Gumm, Noah and AnnGracyn Byard, Ian Hennion, Ashley Dotson, Zachary Dotson, Lyla Dotson, Austin and Regan Guess, and Earon Vincent Giorgio, Jr., several nephews and nieces, and life-long friend Mary Crigler.

Kathleen was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for nearly 20 years. Funeral services will be private at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home in Bowling Green, Monday, August 1 with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bowling Green, KY.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of Southern Kentucky and the St. Joseph Cemetery Fund.
