Katherine A. Simmons, 73, of Bowling Green passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at her residence. The Walnut Ridge, AR native was the daughter of the late Elsie Maxine Hill Conner and Eulas G. Conner, Sr.

Mrs. Simmons was a member of Three Springs Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a beautician.

She is survived by her husband, George "Dewey" Simmons, Sr.; a daughter, Cynthia Denise Simmons; two stepsons, Gary Wayne Simmons and George "Skeeter" Dewey Simmons, Jr. (Sandra); six grandchildren, Nathan Dillard, Katherine Dillard, Justin Simmons, Nicole Simmons, Dakota Simmons, and Tiffany Moore; six great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Dillard, Brooklynn Elms, Blair Simmons, Greyson Simmons, Bryson Moore, and Alyssa Garner; a sister, Debra Lynn Graham (Tim) and her brother, Eulas Gilbert Conner, Jr. (Cathy).

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, May 6, at 11:00 a.m. at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home with burial to follow at Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation will be on Sunday, May 5, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with an Eastern Star Service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Additional visitation will be on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until service time.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
