Judith Ann Liscomb transitioned to eternal joy with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 28, 2022.  Judy was born on May 2, 1940 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the oldest child and only daughter of Robert H. and Lillian M. Stoll, deceased.  She is predeceased by her husband,  William B. Liscomb (1/24/18), and sons Terry (1/29/88) and Troy (8/9/92).  She is survived by her brother Robert W. Stoll (Pam) and daughter Tammy, and son Todd (Amy) and grandchildren Anniston, Katy Grace and Bo.

Judy graduated from St. Mary's secretarial school in Cincinnati.  Soon thereafter, she met her future husband, Bill Liscomb at a local dance event.  Bill and Judy spent many weekend nights dancing with friends in the Cheviot field house, a suburb in northwest Cincinnati.  The two married on July 29, 1961 in St Martins Catholic Church in Cheviot and remained together until Bill's passing on January 24, 2018.  Judy was the loving and compassionate mother of four children:  Tammy, 59, Todd, 56, Troy, and Terry.  Both boys were diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in the early '70's and she cared for them throughout their lives.

Judy attended Holy Spirit and St. Joseph's catholic church in Bowling Green, developing friendships through participation in the events of the Knights of Columbus, of which Bill was a 4th degree knight.  She also enjoyed a vocation of caring for others, working for the local Home Instead franchise for 12 years, assisting elderly home-bound patients with regular activities including meal preparation, transportation and entertainment.   She was very proud of completing 10,000 hours of service as a caregiver and was recognized as a WBKO Hometown Hero for her service, one of the true joys in her professional life.  She truly devoted most of her life caring for others, whether it be her sons or others loved ones.  One of mom's most frequent sayings was "have a good time", reflecting her zest and zeal for life.

Mom was always involved in activities including all sorts of games and cards with the grandkids, and bingo at the nursing home, of which she was officially the best in the family.  Always a fan of knee slapping music, she enjoyed having good tunes on at all times, favoring the old dances like the jitterbug and the swing, and the music of Tim McGraw, Jimmy Buffett, and Garth Brooks, among other country favorites.  Mom had a big heart for animals, always having a dog or cat in the house, and daily recognizing the birds that flocked to her many feeders.  Not that she has a favorite, but Taffy, Smokey, Tuddles and Champ are some of her most cherished furry friends.  A fervent Cincinnati Reds fan, she listened to most games by radio.  Her love for baseball extends to the support of the Bowling Green Hot Rods which she enjoyed attending with Bill and Tammy and Todd.  She developed a love for the Kentucky Wildcats basketball program and has labored with the difficult years of the Cleveland Browns, even as a member of the Browns Backers fan club in Nashville.  A passionate fan of sports, mom could always give you a perspective on the game that others may not see!

Judy moved into the Signature nursing home in August, 2016 with Bill, after he suffered a severe stroke.  She enjoyed participating in the many activities offered and was commonly known as the mayor, the first to greet a new resident and a hearty desire to establish new friendships.  As a former President of the patients, mom was also honored as a member of the Signature Hall of Fame in 2018, nominated by the staff for her friendliness and encouragement to other residents.  Judy was admired and loved by many staff members at the nursing home, including Dee, Velvet, Lynda, Bill, Jackie, Jeff, Mikey, Edmond, Lindsey and most notably, Nicole, the caregiver that provided so much love and affection during moms last few months.  Tammy and Todd are grateful for the care and compassion of Kaye and Todd of Hospice of Bowling Green who provided spiritual and emotional support during the past 90 days, after mom suffered a stroke.  The dedication of the staff at Signature and Hospice have been extraordinarily supportive to Tammy and Todd.

The family will have a private graveside service in St. Joseph's cemetery on Saturday, May 7th at 2:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made in Judy Liscomb's honor to Hospice of Southern Kentucky or the Muscular Dystrophy Association Clinic at Vanderbilt University.
