Juanita Kennedy, 88, of Bowling Green left this earth for Heaven on Monday, March 18, 2019 at The Medical Center surrounded by family. The Chattanooga, TN native was the daughter of the late Walter and Louise Guess. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Kennedy; one son, Wesley Kennedy; one grandson, Jeff Kennedy.

Juanita retired from ATT as a Group Chief Operator and was a member of St. James United Methodist Church. Her hobbies were sewing and crocheting and she made custom draperies for friends and family. Afghans were her specialty – every pattern, size and color. She also enjoyed playing bridge, canasta and bunco

She is survived by one son, Hutch Kennedy (Kristie); one sister, Joanne Follis; two grandchildren, Eric Kennedy (Pam) and Amber Wells (Jamey); seven great grandchildren, Jaydon Wells, Corbin Wells, Cash Wells, Kade Kennedy, Meradeth Carroll, Addisyn Kennedy, and Caleb Kennedy; and one niece Donna Hampton (Jim).

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 21 at 11:00 am at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 20 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and again on Thursday from 9:00 am until time of the service at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
