Joseph 'Joe' Diemer, 69, of Bowling Green, KY passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green. The Warren County native was born a son of the late Thomas Lee and Josephine Katherine McNamara Diemer on May 1, 1954. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant sister, Mary Martha Diemer.

Joe was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He attended St. Joseph School and graduated from Bowling Green High in 1972.

He followed in the footsteps of his siblings and learned the grocery business and management from early life, beside his father at the D&F Supermarket. Joe became the owner and manager of the D&F until his retirement. His working experience continued with the ownership and management of rental properties until his death.

Joe is survived by two sisters, Joan D. Dewhurst and Linda M. Nuckols (Larry); one brother, James 'Jimmy' Diemer and several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to his girlfriend, Deanna Dotson, for her committed support.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with Rosary Service at 7:00 pm.
