Jose Mendez

Jose Mendez, 70, of Bowling Green passed away Sunday, October 25 at his residence.

The native of Cabanas El Salvador was a retired carpenter and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virjilio Mendez and Manuela Echeverria, his wife, Alvertina Aquilarde Mendez and brother, Gilberto Echeverria.

He is survived by his three sons, Jesus William Mendez, Victor Manuel Mendez, and Francisco Alberto Mendez; three sisters, Rosa Magdalena, Santos Elizabet Mendez and Manuela Raquel Mendez; four brothers and four sisters also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 9:00 am, Saturday, October 31 at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, October 30 at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home. Mr. Mendez will be taken back to his home in El Salvador.
