Jeff Ledogar, 54, of Bowling Green, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Saturday, June 15, 2024, after a brief battle with metastatic cancer.

Jeff was born September 2, 1969, in Somers Point, NJ. He is the son of Jack Ledogar (Becky) of The Villages, FL, and Nancy Ellen Webb Booth of Bowling Green. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Bowling Green.

Jeff's wit and quick humor were legendary, always ready with a joke to lighten the mood. He never met a stranger and easily connected with folks from all walks of life, making them feel like old friends. He had an uncanny knack for turning ordinary moments into unforgettable memories.

Born with natural athleticism and a competitive spirit, Jeff excelled in many sports, but baseball was his true passion. His love for the game was evident from his earliest years in BG East Little League, where he first met many of his lifelong friends. In his adult life, his attention turned to golf. He relished any time spent out on the course with family and friends and took great pride in teaching and watching his children, nieces, and nephews play.

As a 1987 BGHS graduate and multi-sport athlete, Jeff proudly embraced the motto "once a Purple, always a Purple". He went on to earn two Bachelor of Science degrees in accounting and marketing from WKU while playing four years of Division I baseball for the Hilltoppers.

After a short-lived professional baseball career in the Frontier League, Jeff worked as an accountant and controller for companies throughout Kentucky, Tennessee, and Georgia. He also enjoyed interacting with the public as a poll worker during local elections. His confident demeanor and natural charisma made him a beloved figure in every community he touched.

Of all his roles in life, Jeff was most proud to be a dad to Lauren, Kela, and Jack. He found immense joy in watching his children grow and achieve their own successes, always encouraging them to work hard and do their best while enjoying the ride.

He was a dutiful son, caring brother, adoring uncle, and a loving husband who cherished his wife, Kristen. He had a special bond with his stepson, Michael, and step granddaughter, Annaliese, and would become giddy anytime he heard the words "Grandpa Jeff".

Jeff's legacy is one of love, laughter, forgiveness, and a fierce loyalty to those closest to him. He lived life on his own terms, but we all knew he had our backs. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of life will be held on July 20th at First Baptist Church on the corner of 12th and Chestnut in Bowling Green. Visitation hours will begin at 12 p.m. with memorial services to follow at 2 p.m. Family and friends are invited to The White Squirrel at 302 State Street in Bowling Green immediately after the memorial service to share stories, laughs, and good cheer.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Kristen Hepp Ledogar of Bowling Green; children Lauren Ledogar, Kela Ledogar, and Jack Ledogar of Bowling Green, and their mother Beki Phillips Ledogar of Charlotte, NC; stepson Michael Hepp of Bowling Green; step granddaughter Annaliese Grieve; sisters, Tracy Hardin (Brian) of Louisville and Lori Meadows (Chad) of Arcata, CA; nieces and nephews Zach Dyer, Thomas Dyer, Andrew Dyer, and Brooke Whitaker (Erik) of Louisville, Jenna Hardin of Shepherdsville, and Asher Meadows, Avery Meadows, and Braden Meadows of Arcata, CA; his beloved dog, Darcy; and many other extended family members and dear friends who he loved like family.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Clarence and Dorothé Ledogar, and Andrew and Bernice Webb; stepfather Mark Booth; and step grandson Ricky Grieve.
