John T. Denton, 73, of Bowling Green passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.
The Dawson Springs native was a son of the late Robert Cecil Denton and Frances Elizabeth Baird Denton.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Catrina Wells.
Mr. Denton was a dozer operator with Scotty's Construction and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Miller Denton; children, Josh Denton, Jenny Garner (Rob), Jessie Cheatham and Jonathan Denton (Arnesa); two sisters, Evonne Duncan (Wayne) and Carolyn Coates (Spencer); one brother, Bobby Denton (Ann); grandchildren, Vivien, Allison, Maddison, Ashley, Joey Jr., Liam and Ella; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; son-in-law, Joey Wells.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Sunday, December 22, 2024 at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home with burial in the Highland Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home and again on Sunday from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
