Joan "Joann" Kitchens, 82 of Bowling Green, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at her residence.

The Warren County native was a daughter of the late George W. Jones and Opal D. Stovall Jones. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Lynn Dorthy York and Carol Johnson; brothers, Wallace Jones, Willard Jones and Howard Ray Jones; grandson, James Christopher Kitchens.

Mrs. Kitchens was retired from Bowling Green City Schools and member of Rich Pond Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, James W. Kitchens; one daughter, Judy Kitchens of Bowling Green; one son, James "Greg" Kitchens of Bowling Green; one brother, Johnny Jones of Auburn; two grandchildren, Brandi Regnier and husband, Jim of Nashville, TN and Angela Wilhelm and husband, Brian of Bowling Green; four great grandchildren, Grant Regnier and wife, Andreanna, Grace Regnier, Anna Regnier and Lauren Regnier all of Nashville, TN; one great-great grandson, James Leo Regnier of Nashville; special friends, Merrill and Shirley.

Funeral service will be on Saturday at 11:00 am at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home with burial in Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home.
