Jean Allen Taylor Carruth, 80 of Bowling Green died Monday, August 28, 2017 at Hospice House in Bowling Green.
The Greensburg, KY native was born December 12, 1936, a daughter of the late Gabriel Buckner Taylor and Isobel Jean Kistler Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Farrar "Ark" Carruth and half-sisters Lillian Crawford and Kathleen Kerns.
Mrs. Carruth was Executive Secretary with Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation in New York and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mrs. Carruth was a volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry and was a member of the Women's Democrat Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Isabelle Jean Flanagan (Brack); two sons, Gabriel Barton Carruth (Nancy) and Joseph Anthony Carruth (Lindy); seven grandchildren, Joseph Anthony Carruth, II, Matthew Carruth, Kaylen Rollins, Taylor Carruth, Gabriel Carruth, Michael Flanagan (Sarajane) and Lauren Kelly Phelps (Will); four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be at 12:05 PM Friday, September 1, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday at the Church. The funeral will conclude with Burial Rites at Greensburg Cemetery, Greensburg, KY at 3:30 PM. Memorial Contributions may take the form of donations to St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, St. Joseph Conference.
