James (Jim) Whittle, 81, of Scottsville, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at The Medical Center. The Warren County native was the son of the late John Lewis and Cora Jane Whittle. In addition to his parents, Mr. Whittle was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Jean Newton.

He was a heavy equipment operator for the Kentucky Transportation Department and was a member of the Kentucky Corp of Long Riflemen.

He is survived by his wife, Eva Whittle; two sons, Gary Whittle (Lori) and Joe Whittle (Trina); two daughters, Sherry Kirby (Dale) and Paula Cox (Jared); six Grandchildren, Autumn, Madison and Callie Whittle, Phoebe, Kate and Grace Cox.

A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Church of Bowling Green. Visitation will be Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Grace Church of Bowling Green and to Hospice of Southern Kentucky.
