James 'Ronnie' Stone, 79, of Clarksville, TN passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 at Murfreesboro VA Hospital. The Alvaton native was the son to the late Elmo and Ruby Marie Stone. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Danny Stone.

James was a member of Old Liberty Baptist Church. Mr. Stone served in the United States Army as corporal and worked as a farmer and in the logging industry.

He is survived by a sister, Belinda McGee (Rodney); two nieces, Erica Whalin (Jeff), Pam Childress (Scott); two nephews, Derek Stone (Tiffany), Kevin McGee and several great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday August 6, 2018 at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home with Burial to follow at Old Liberty Cemetery. Visitation is Scheduled for 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday August 5, 2018 and again 9:00 a.m. until time of services Monday at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home.
