James (Jim) Fischer, 75, died Monday, April 16, 2018 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky. The Cincinnati, OH native was the son of the late Jean Shelley Reynolds.

Mr. Fischer was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and loved his yard work. He was a member of the American Legion and he created the 1 ^st Chapter for the deaf, Fairdale Jaycee's Chapter. He honorably served in the U.S. Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Fischer; daughter, Debbie Marr (Paul); son, Cary Fischer; daughter, Kim Fischer; son, Tim Fischer (Gaye); seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with prayer service at 7:00 PM with military honors at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice of Southern Kentucky.
