Jack Crabtree, 86 of Bowling Green, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky. The Owensboro native was a son of the late Clyde and Martha Cambron Crabtree and was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Hulman Crabtree.
Mr. Crabtree was a graduate of Bowling Green High School, Class of 1949 and was an Army Veteran. He was a member of the Bowling Green Evening Civitan Club, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Mended Hearts and was a Kentucky Colonel. He was the retired owner of Crabtree Sausage Company.
Survivors include three sons, David Crabtree (Gloria), Michael Crabtree (Theresa) and Miles Crabtree (Tracie); two daughters, Martha Basham (Donnie) and Anna Crabtree; eleven grandchildren, Bryant Kirby (Jordan) Brandon Crabtree (Jennifer), Lindsey Acree (Chris), Lauren Kirby (Manabu), Tiffany Rose Crabtree, Ashlee Jones, Josh Crabtree, Skyler Crabtree, Beth Basham, Austin Jones and Hayla Crabtree; one great grandchild, Evan James Kirby.
Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am, Monday, June 26, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Sunday, June 25, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Prayer Services at 8:00 pm. Additional visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am Monday at the Church. Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice of Southern Kentucky to be designated to the Hospice House.
