Obituary

Howard Linton Stuart, 93, of Bowling Green passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Magnolia Village. The Logan County native was a son of the late Edgar Nolan Stuart and Ina Bertha Gilliam Stuart. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, of over 25 years, Pauline Wilkins Stuart; twin sons, Kenny and Denny Stuart; three sisters, Elaine Gower, Leola Wilcutt and Margaret Dill; one brother, Merrill Stuart; and one daughter-in-law, Brenda Stuart.

Mr. Stuart was the District Manager for Frito Lay and loved to be outdoors on the tractor while farming. He was a member of the Christ Methodist Church and sang in Southern Gospel Quartets. He was in the Christ Church choir, a soloist, served as the Sunday School Superintendent and participated and served on Emmaus Walks.

Survivors include his wife Emogene Gilliam Stuart; two step-daughters, Lisa Rhoades (Tony) and Tana Keil; one sister, Pauline Browning; five grandchildren, Corey Stuart, Heather Stuart, Joshua Stuart (Shannon), Denise Hulette (Craig) and Amanda Adams (Chris); seven step-grandchildren, Shelby White (Michael), Laura Flener (Keston), Jacqueline Rhoades, Tyler Rhoades (Shelby), Madison Ryan (Chandler), Adam Keil and Eli Thomas (Kathleen); twelve great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends; A special thank you to his devoted caregiver of nearly four years, Mechell Carr.

Memorial Services are scheduled for 11:00 am, Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Christ Methodist Church, 716 Cave Mill Road, Bowling Green, KY. Visitation will be on Thursday from 9:00 am – 11:00 am at the church. A private graveside service was held with burial in Fairview Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Christ Methodist Church, St. Jude Children's Hospital or Hospice of Southern Kentucky.
