Howard D. "Dutch" Reed, 89, of Bowling Green, passed away Monday, May 12, 2025 at Greenwood Nursing and Rehab Facility after a brief illness.

The Chester, WV native was a son of the late Arthur Reed and Mary Reed Barry and was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Allison Reed and two brothers, James Reed and Jess Reed.

Dutch was a maintenance engineer with BADA Manufacturing and was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church.  He served honorably in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his daughter, Susan Reed Natcher (Jeff); a son, Jeff Reed (Lori); two sisters, Pat Vuletic and Mary Sayre; four grandchildren, Matthew Reed (Rachel), Heather Wootten (Michael), Autumn Miciotto (Seth), Haleigh Sanders (Noah);  three great grandchildren, Madison Reed, McKenzi Miciotto, Lane Miciotto; and expected great grandchild, Blakely Grace Sanders.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 12:00 P.M., Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home with burial and military honors at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., Thursday at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home.
