Gerald Martin, 80, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 at The Medical Center.  The Warren County native was the son of the late James Vivian and Gertrude Murray Martin.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elda Hix Martin; a sister, Dorothy Buckner; and a daughter-in-law, Sherry Martin.

Mr. Martin worked as a metal cast operator at Logan Aluminum.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 15 at 2:00 pm at Johnson Vaughn Phelps Funeral Home with burial to follow at Bowling Green Gardens.  Visitation will be on Monday, May 14 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and again on Tuesday, May 15 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Martin is survived by a daughter, Cindy McCrory (Mike); three sons, Ricky Martin, Jeff Martin (Sondra), and Mike Rich; two brothers, Kenneth Martin and Tommy Martin (Brenda); seven grandchildren, Sheena Jackson (James), Lucas McCrory (Ashley), Haleigh McCrory (P.J.), Madison McCrory (Travis), Jason Martin (Angie), Aaron Martin (Jayne), Amanda Martin (Patrick Lyons); eleven great-grandchildren, Garrett, Coltyn, Savannah, Christian, Makayla, Camp, Cassidy, Austin, Kody, Caleb and Finn; and several nieces and nephews.
